    Found in every shearing shed across the country in the twentieth century, the Woolpress is an iconic piece of New Zealand history. Based on the original Donalds Woolpress, Black Dog has created a classic rugged leaner that will take pride of place indoors or outdoors.

    Intially the 860mm square was the tried and true however a smaller version was requested by our friends at "The Clive Pub" in Hastings . 'The Clive' a smaller, 720 sq x 1050 version, was born. Perfect for apartments, balconies and small spaces. Our 1m square top has become a hit, giving a little more overhang and creating more leg room when perching on a stool. Black Dog standard Butcher's Blocks are available with one, two and three drawers. Handles may vary. Draw box is a ply construction for stability and longevity. The Butchers Block can be either finished with burnishing oil (food safe) on top to enable you to utilise the surface for chopping.  Alternatively the entire piece can be stained with oil if you do not wish to use as a chopping area. Draw handle options below. Please advise at time of ordering your preference. Butchers Blocks available in Antique Brown and Honey oil and/or burnishing oil.
